Student Survey Highlights
Thanks to you, the City University of Seattle Winter 2008 Student Satisfaction Survey received almost 1000 responses from CityU students around the world!
The survey results were the focus of an internal strategic planning conference held in late April. CityU administration, staff, and faculty continue to examine your input and use it to improve our programs, courses, instruction, and support services.
We were pleased to learn, for example, that over three-quarters of you who responded indicate you are generally satisfied with your CityU education, and over two-thirds would highly recommend CityU to a friend, family member, or colleague. We think we can do better, and will work to improve your experiences based on your input.
As we get ready for commencement, an event which celebrates the culmination of your learning, we were encouraged to see that most of you believe your studies have improved your professional competence, critical thinking, information literacy, ethical decision-making, and lifelong learning skills. Based on your input, we will continue our focus on building multicultural and international learning experiences into our courses and programs.
And it was exciting to see that almost one-quarter of you might be interested in taking CityU courses outside your home country. We will share more information about options to travel to other CityU locations around the world as they are developed.
Your input on our services like information technology, financial aid, and student accounts show us where we need to improve, and initiatives are already underway to do so, including the launch of a 24/7 Help Desk in the upcoming months.
We appreciate the time and effort you invested in sharing your opinions and suggestions. We will continue to work diligently to fulfill our mission: To change lives for good by offering high quality and relevant lifelong education to anyone with the desire to learn.
